MSCR Afterschool Youth Resource Center (YRC) at O'Keeffe
YRC Programming is drop in and open to all students in the school. YRC is not a child care program and does not operate on all school days. Programming is interest based and promoted primarily through school announcements and in school sign ups. YRC operates most Mondays – Thursdays from the third week of September – the third week of May.
Typical After School Schedule
Early Release PCT Mondays: 1:47-3:45 - Academic Enrichment and Recreational Clubs Meet
Tuesday – Thursday and non PCT Mondays
2:50-3:30 Academic Support, Academic Enrichment Clubs, Sports Practices and Recreational Programs
3:45-4:00 Late bus arrives - provided by Madison Metro
4:00-4:30 Sports practices continue for students who have alternate transportation
After school sports are also sponsored by MSCR with staff members serving as coaches. Sports are coed and are available to 7th and 8th grade students.

Cross Country Girls Basketball Tennis
Ultimate Frisbee Soccer
After school sport availability may vary some from school to school dependent on student interest, availability of coaches and availability of practice space.

The goal of MSCR after school YRC programs is to provide O'Keeffe Middle School students a safe and structured environment after school while participating in positive social, recreational and educational activities. Clubs, Sports and Rec are free to students!
